I welcome you on the web pages where you can read about my sports career. First, I have been doing track and field since I was 10. Until 1982 I was doing the overall athletic conditioning, mainly running, since 1983 the racewalking. I was doing my first athletic steps with the coach J. Srholec Sr. in Kysucke Nove Mesto, later with M.Skokan and J.Cuntala in KNM, J.Polesensky, M. Dumbala, J. Bencik In Banska Bystrica, T. Rimai in Kosice. My longest cooperation was with M. Skokan and and K. Schwartz with whom I went to two Olympic Games - Atlanta in 1996 and Sydney in 2000. During my career I participated in all top world events from the boys to masters categories. My greatest achievement was in 2002 at the World Cup race in Torino, Italy, already as a self-coached athlete, where I finished 8th in the 50K race, which is so far the best placement by the Slovak racewalker in the history of the World Cup. In the year 2002 I made the still valid Slovak record in the 100K racewalk - 9:02:00. Since 2003 I am participating in running races as well, in 2004 I won the Slovak Marathon Championship with my personal best of 2:27:53.
